Evaluation: This is our magazine. We tried to use as many conventions as possible when making the magazine. So that it would be to our best standard. One convention that you can is our colour pallet, we choose to use as the main colours red and white. We choose these colours because it would suit our audience best, because it is a sport magazine and would mainly be aimed at boys and the colour red is seen to be a more of a boy colour than pink for example. Secondly we made the magazine as eye catching as possible, we did this by putting the main picture in the centre of the magazine and making it very big, also the title is very eye catching because it is centred and at the top so it is the first tthing the audince/reader will read.
To conclude are magazine i think we have done a quite good job and stayed within the conventions of a magazine. But we did have a few problems with Photoshop making it, but we shall learn from our mistakes in future tasks.

Mine and Josh's Video

This is one of our tasks we had to do. We got told to make a short preview from a movie which uses as many different camera angles as possible, for example: mid shot, point of view shot, 180 degree rule etc. The preview of the film had to include a actor walking to a room then walking and finishing with some dialect with another person at a table.

Firstly me and josh started by creating a story board of what shall happen in the story and the different camera angles in the different shots and how they shall work with the film preview. When we completed that we had to get our equipment to film with. I had all the equipment we needed and the editing software at home so i thought it would be best if we used that because i am familliar with it and will be able to edit it to the highest standars i can. After we had the equipment we had to go round the school to find a place to film, once we found our place we got all the clips we wanted and even filmed things twice but from different angles to see what looked the best, once that was done i took the camera home to edit the clips

I think we have completed the task very well and have used as many different camera angles as we can and used them appropiatly. If i had to change some apects from the preview it would be the place we film because the indoor clips had a lot of natural light which is good in small amount but to much can cause reflections and you may notice in some clips you can see the reflection of the camera which is un proffesional. Also i would change the space we had to film which was much to small for the actors and the different camera angles we wanted to use but this problem was sloved by using a wide angle lense. The last thing i would change would be the time of day we filmed in. Im sure if we filmed at night with few lighting for the mugging scene it would of created more feeling and more realism to the scene. :)
