Love actually Opening Scene Evaluation

Ive had to copy the link to my blog instead of the embed code because there was none available.

Ive chosen the opening scene from love actually because we are basing our film on a romance.
Firstly i have noticed that the non digetic music is very calm. It sounds like its being played by a organ.
The next thing i noticed is that the title sequence fades in and out very slowly, this is the emphasise the calmness of the opening scene.
We can also see that the film is made by working title so we can see that the budget for this film would be fairley high
The whole of the first scene is clips of people of all ages reuniting at Heathrow airport and showing love and affection by kissing and hugging.
In all of these clips the noise of them is muted so the main focus is on the people hugging and it blocks out unwanted noise so the clips are silence which creates more beauty.
Also most of the clips have use of slow motion, this is to create more beauty, because if the clip was fast then it would create the opposite effect.
It also looks like the clips have been colour corrected to look brighter and emphasises lighter colours, this is because light represents good and that is what is being shown in this scene.
Then next thing what i have noticed is the voice of of the scene which is a vital part of the scene and it creates the calmness and warm feeling to the scene. Firstly this is because Hugh grant has a very calm voice naturally and he is speaking very slowly which fits nicely into the slow motion and the slow fading in the opening sequence.
